About the Role
The Service Technician is responsible for repairing and reconditioning equipment at the profit center and/or customer locations. This role involves equipment installation, diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and providing customer assistance.
Responsibilities
- Investigate operating difficulties of equipment at customer locations.
- Diagnose problems and determine reasons and nature of correction.
- Repair and adjust equipment to restore it to working order.
- Clean and maintain equipment on location, including exchanging decanters and cleaning brewers.
- Complete documentation, including verification of closing calls, invoice completion, asset verification, and customer documentation.
- Repair and refurbish equipment and maintain spare parts levels.
- Accurately record work completed using a company-provided mobile device.
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers to uphold the company's image.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area and vehicle.
- Follow company guidelines on safety and operate vehicles safely.
- Complete weekly Driver Reports and adhere to Fleet Manual guidelines.
- Follow all safety standards and policies set by manufacturers and the company.
Requirements
- Solid understanding in repairing small electrical appliances.
- Willingness to learn how to connect equipment to water sources, add additional lines, and drainage.
- Willingness to learn how to work with copper, braided, and pex lines.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Acceptable driving record and a qualified driver’s license.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and perform extended walking and standing.
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
