About the Role
SailPoint is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to provide support to critical internal infrastructure and applications. This professional-level position requires strong execution and analytical abilities, with interaction expected across various IT groups including Datacenter operations, Network, SaaS products, and Security. Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud solutions in a multi-cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Collaborate with business units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements.
- Recommend and leverage IT standards to minimize complexity, adhere to compliance, and maximize security.
- Plan, design, deploy, operate, and support cloud-based infrastructure and solutions.
- Automate resource provisioning, operational activities, tasks, and changes using scripting languages and tools (Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Perform ongoing maintenance, security, and availability management for applications.
- Provide assistance to cloud servers (Win/Linux), including security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Continuously improve operations through monitoring and performance metrics.
- Create documentation for environment changes and new technologies.
- Communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Work with solution architects to implement new technologies or system/infrastructure changes.
- Ensure architectural consistency and provide technical direction through roadmap process, knowledge management, disaster recovery plan development, and testing.
- Build sophisticated solutions using hybrid cloud computing, networking, and storage technologies.
- Participate in incident and problem management.
- Participate in operational support escalations and project executions.
- Maintain OLA and SLA agreements with other Business Units.
- Support ISO and SOC compliance.
- Implement change requests and meet project deliverables within defined guidelines.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in an enterprise environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Practical experience in operating and managing Cloud platforms.
- At least 2 CSP professional certifications (Solutions Architect, Infrastructure Administrator, or similar).
- Two or more years of scripting/automation experience using Terraform, Jenkins, Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.
- Three or more years of experience working as a Systems Administrator.
- Good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and databases.
- Good technical knowledge in Linux OS, Windows Servers OS, Active Directory and Entra ID, Certificates, and DNS.
- Passion and accountability for responsibilities.
- Strong analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong decision-making, prioritization, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation).
- Strong ability to self-learn new technologies.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Occasional international travel may be required.
