About the Role
Westside Animal Hospital is seeking a customer service-focused Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join their team. This role is crucial for the efficient daily operation of the hospital, ensuring clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments when required
- Answering a multiline phone system and tracking/booking appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-up and future appointment bookings
- Responding to and managing email correspondence
- Admitting and discharging pet patients
- Handling invoicing/billing, creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
- Scheduling appointments
- Maintaining clinic/hospital areas such as reception, lobby, exam rooms, pharmacy, or outside areas
- Stocking exam rooms and reception area
- Participating in the performance review process
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Follows cash handling policies (balancing, accepting payment, processing credit/debit) as directed
