About the Role
The Instructional Coach, Pre-K Partnerships will provide ongoing consultation and coaching to teachers in partner child development centers (CDCs) and support center directors in developing teacher support systems and skills. This role involves working closely with the Director, Pre-K Innovation Partnership and CDC directors to identify program needs and develop instructional support plans for teachers and students, including curriculum and assessment support, coaching on evidence-based strategies, and coordinating training and resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing consultation and coaching to teachers in partner child development centers.
- Support center directors to develop teacher support systems and skills.
- Identify program needs to develop and execute an instructional support plan.
- Provide curriculum and assessment support.
- Coach on evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Coordinate with community organizations to deliver quality training and resources.
- Develop coaching cycles and professional learning opportunities.
- Assist with teacher recruitment efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- EC-6 Texas Teaching Certification required
- At least 3-4 years of early childhood classroom teaching experience
- At least 2 years of experience in instructional coaching
- Experience working in child development centers preferred
- Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS, high-quality curricula, and frameworks
- An ability to organize and conduct trainings effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
