About the Role
Total Comfort Group is a nationwide provider of commercial HVAC, Electrical, and Project Management solutions. We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician to support customer locations in Austin and surrounding Central Texas areas, with additional travel to other Texas sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Service, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems
- Troubleshoot system failures and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement
- Service commercial equipment ranging from 1–50 tons
- Work on refrigeration systems, boilers, and electrical/control components
- Follow all safety, industry, and company standards
- Maintain accurate service documentation and a clean work environment
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal teams
- Travel to job sites throughout Austin, Central Texas, and other Texas locations
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
- Graduate of an accredited HVAC technical program
- Proven experience with commercial HVAC systems (1–50 tons)
- Proven experience with refrigeration systems
- Proven experience with boilers
- Proven experience with electrical and control systems
- EPA Universal Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Own basic hand tools, gauges, and meters
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability and willingness to travel within Texas
