About the Role
The Market Manager is responsible for the operation and results of multiple locations within a designated area, focusing on operations, development, business relationships, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role requires providing leadership and mentoring to direct reports to ensure efficient team management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan for all locations.
- Manage the activities of all locations within the designated market through active coordination with individual location General Managers.
- Monitor capture rates to ensure stores are taking full advantage of opportunities.
- Manage and hold all staff accountable for shop performance by ensuring understanding of the company mission, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP), and recognizing performance.
- Act as the conduit for load leveling for the market by holding daily calls.
- Recruit, interview, and train new hires.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by coaching staff and resolving customer concerns.
- Seek out opportunities for continuous education and development for all employees.
- Participate in external marketing and team building activities.
- Promote safe, clean working conditions; review audits and safety records.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and document managers who do not enforce safety policies.
- Work with corporate staff to achieve external market growth and meet business plan objectives.
- Review location performance against goals with location managers and provide coaching.
- Contact all claims managers and dealer accounts on a monthly basis.
- Conduct operations reviews and audits with location managers in-person on a monthly basis.
- Promote, develop, and act as a liaison with area insurance contacts and other referral points.
- Ensure stores are responsive to clients in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years in the collision repair industry.
- Minimum of three years of management experience.
- Ability to read and understand financial statements.
- Extensive estimating experience.
