About the Role
The Specialized Production Worker is responsible for operating machinery, monitoring production processes, and completing assembly and testing duties to manufacture products according to specifications in both injection and blow-molding areas.
Responsibilities
- Operate automated or semi-automated machinery to manufacture components.
- Receive parts from machinery and monitor product quality.
- Weigh-count parts and package them into mini totes.
- Monitor production processes for compliance with documentation.
- Complete quality testing, sub-assembly, and assembly, including de-flashing/cutting and packaging.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an injection and/or blow-molding plastics manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and highly changing environment with limited supervision.
- Must meet a height requirement of 5 ft 7 in (170 cm).
- Requires moderate physical fitness, including the ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, reach, and climb for periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical machinery.
- Must be able to work in an environment with high noise levels (hearing protection required).
Skills
- Able to read, and communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.
- Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Able to troubleshoot with a sense of urgency.
- Mechanically inclined, with strong attention to details.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management and documentation skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills and team oriented with the ability to work within a diverse workplace.

Salary/Compensations
- $19.22 per hour with scheduled step increases in accordance with Collective Agreement.
