About the Role

Land Rover San Francisco is seeking a skilled Line Technician to perform accurate and efficient diagnosis and repairs on Land Rover vehicles. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of an iconic luxury automotive destination.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, efficient diagnosis on Land Rover vehicles across all systems using JLR diagnostic platforms and OEM tools.
• Execute line repairs to manufacturer specifications with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Document findings, repair procedures, and parts used on every repair order with precision and clarity.
• Communicate technical findings to service advisors to support accurate guest communication and repair authorization.
• Collaborate with senior technicians on complex diagnostic cases.
• Stay current on Land Rover technical service bulletins, software updates, and evolving repair procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technician experience in a franchised dealership or European aftermarket shop.
• Strong diagnostic background.
• Land Rover, Jaguar, or European brand experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Range Rover, Defender, or Discovery platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency with JLR diagnostic tools (SDD, PATHFINDER, IDS) preferred; equivalent European diagnostic platform experience considered.
• ASE certifications a strong plus.
• Land Rover or JLR factory certifications highly valued.
• Solid command of European vehicle systems, including advanced electrical, CAN bus, air suspension, terrain response, and ADAS.
• Low comeback rate and a personal standard for quality.
• Clear communicator who works effectively with advisors, the shop foreman, and fellow technicians.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
