About the Role
Rillet is an AI-native ERP designed to help accounting and finance teams achieve unprecedented speed, accuracy, and insight in their financial operations. We are seeking an experienced engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure, tooling, and platform systems essential for our engineering team's success.
Responsibilities
- Own the infrastructure, CI/CD, and developer tooling that keeps our engineering team shipping fast and safely at scale.
- Set the technical direction for reliability, security, and compliance, building these in from the ground up.
- Shape the design and scalability of our external API, turning it into a competitive asset.
- Partner with engineering leadership to define roadmap priorities and translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
- Mentor engineers on the team through design reviews and hands-on collaboration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading large-scale projects and architecting scalable systems.
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or developer productivity.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, observability tooling, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Comfortable driving technical decisions across teams and making hard tradeoffs under pressure.
- Actively incorporates AI tools into your day-to-day workflow.
- Energized by building in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still being written.
- Background in fintech, ERP, or accounting software.
- Expertise in AWS.
- Experience owning and scaling public-facing APIs.
- Familiarity with enterprise readiness (SOC 2, SSO/SAML, audit logging, or similar).
- Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript experience.
- Prior experience working in a high-growth startup.
