About the Role

As our Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas.
• Meticulously confirm patient identification.
• Greet and assist in transferring patients.
• Make conscious observations of patient condition during transport, reporting any issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment.
• Verify requisition and patient I.D. bracelet prior to transporting pt. to department.
• Transport patients to and from the appropriate care areas using the appropriate method of transportation.
• Maintain the cleanliness of carts, stretchers, wheelchairs and other transportation equipment.
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Assist staff in the movement of patients from stretchers, wheel chairs, or beds.
• Comply with Hospital/Department/Unit policies.
• Document activities consistent with Hospital/Department/Unit Guidelines to include keeping accurate logs of patient transport.
