About the Role

Borrowell is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to enhance our brand and visual identity across all platforms. This role involves collaborating with Product Design, Marketing, and Lifecycle teams to bring the brand to life and improve the product experience and aesthetic. You will own key projects, contribute a strong design perspective, and advocate for design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain visual quality and brand consistency across in-app UI, emails, marketing site, social media, and campaigns.
  • Build systems and standards to improve design quality across the company.
  • Drive visual decision-making based on brand guidelines, industry trends, and accessibility standards.
  • Champion visual quality by setting design authority, enforcing brand standards, and communicating design rationale.
  • Evolve and optimize design standards, including the design system and component library (tokens, typography, colour, icons).
  • Create reusable frameworks and scalable templates for various graphic elements.
  • Support growth experiments, A/B tests, and feature launches with high-quality visual output.
  • Build and maintain a visual asset library for marketing and communication materials.
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle and Marketing teams throughout the creative process.
  • Implement and optimize email templates using a modular content block system.
  • Enhance the marketing website and landing pages with visual updates, collaborating with Engineering and Data teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in visual, brand, or graphic design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design fundamentals, typography, colour theory, and layout.
  • Expertise in Figma, with the ability to organize assets and specs for handoff.
  • Experience building design systems and scalable design processes.
  • Solid understanding of email design constraints and marketing asset production.
  • Deep knowledge of web best practices and their impact on performance and user experience.
  • Ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end.
  • Ability to elevate quality standards while meeting deadlines.
  • Clear, constructive communication skills, comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
  • Experience contributing to or leading a design refresh or rebrand at a consumer-facing company (Nice to Have).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and their application (Nice to Have).
  • Skills in motion design, animating micro-interactions, or custom illustration (Nice to Have).
  • Experience implementing visual assets and HTML/CSS in Braze (Nice to Have).
  • Must clear a credit and criminal record check.
