About the Role
Nuix is seeking a Product Manager to own the end-to-end success of a product area, from discovery through delivery and go-to-market. This role involves understanding customers, shipping high-quality software, and driving commercial outcomes, spanning the full product lifecycle. The team is building a strong capability in both discovery and delivery, expecting the Product Manager to run discovery with customers, make data-driven prioritization decisions, test hypotheses, and own commercial performance. A key aspect will be integrating AI thinking into daily product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to shaping a compelling product vision, ensuring alignment with Nuix’s platform strategy and business objectives.
- Conduct continuous market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify trends, unmet needs, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Translate market signals, customer data, and technical capabilities into an outcome-based product roadmap that drives acquisition, activation, and monetisation.
- Understand and contribute a clear product strategy that makes explicit trade-offs and communicates the rationale to stakeholders.
- Run discovery: maintain a cadence of customer and user touchpoints through interviews, usability sessions, sales call shadowing, win/loss reviews, and support escalation analysis.
- Define and track key product metrics (adoption, engagement, retention, NPS) and use data to inform prioritisation, validate hypotheses, and measure outcomes.
- Design and run lightweight experiments and hypothesis tests before committing significant engineering effort.
- Partner closely with Product Design to prototype, test, and iterate on solutions.
- Own prioritisation and trade-off decisions for your product area, balancing new capability, technical debt, platform stability, and customer commitments.
- Write clear, machine-readable product artefacts (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) and leverage AI-augmented tools to accelerate artefact creation and delivery.
- Drive agile and lean delivery practices within your scrum team(s) with a focus on outcomes, not ceremony.
- Maintain strong technology and architecture awareness to have credible conversations with engineers and make informed trade-offs.
- Build AI and data product literacy, understanding how AI capabilities, data pipelines, and analytics underpin Nuix’s product value.
- Own your product area’s value proposition and contribute to pricing and packaging decisions.
- Drive launch and go-to-market execution for releases, coordinating cross-functional activities across marketing, sales enablement, support, documentation, and legal.
- Ensure operational readiness for every release, including enablement content, deployment guides, support training, and customer success hand-off.
- Champion responsible product practices, ensuring compliance, trust, security, and data governance considerations are embedded in product decisions.
- Act as the bridge between Engineering/Architecture and Go-to-Market teams, ensuring smooth commercial launches and clear product enablement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry experts.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, from sprint-level updates to strategic narratives for executive stakeholders.
- Contribute to building product team capability through peer learning, knowledge sharing, and coaching of more junior team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management within a technical, data-intensive software environment.
- Demonstrated success shipping products in complex, enterprise-scale environments (e.g., big data, analytics, enterprise search, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or similar).
- Proven ability to run the full product lifecycle - not just the delivery half.
- Strong customer instinct backed by practice: you run discovery regularly.
- Comfort with data - you define metrics, analyse usage, run experiments, and let evidence guide decisions.
- Experience with agile delivery methodologies and working in cross-functional squads with engineering and design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, commercial, and executive audiences.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity - you thrive when the map is incomplete and build clarity through action, not process.
- Background in one or more of: Investigations, Information/Data Governance, Forensic Investigations, eDiscovery, or cybersecurity.
- Experience with cloud computing, SaaS platforms, and API-driven product architectures.
- Hands-on experience building or shipping AI-native product capabilities.
- Experience contributing to pricing, packaging, and commercialisation strategies for enterprise SaaS.
- A technical background (Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent practical experience).
