About the Role
This is a long-term nanny position working for a warm, active young family. The role involves sole care of an 8-month-old, with light family support duties as the child grows. The position offers the opportunity to grow alongside the family and is considered a highly desirable placement.
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive, and development-focused care for an 8-month-old.
- Support feeding, naps, routines, and play.
- Encourage confidence, curiosity, and independence.
- Attend classes, groups, and outdoor activities.
- Propose fun and educational, age-appropriate activities.
- Keep nursery and play areas tidy and clean.
- Manage baby laundry and clothing organization.
- Stock and organize baby essentials.
- Prepare simple, healthy family meals.
- Perform light family assistant tasks.
- Provide support during occasional travel.
Requirements
- Strong baby experience.
- Excellent references.
- Hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate (dated within 3 years).
- Must be a confident driver.
- Comfortable around dogs (no pet care required).
- Strictly non-smoking position.
Skills
- Experience with babies under 12 months.
- Experience with toddlers and preschoolers.
- Knowledgeable about milestones, weaning, and routines.
