About the Role

This organization executes R&D projects funded by governments worldwide and supports innovation at Rakuten Mobile. The role involves managing the finance and administrative tasks of these projects, requiring extensive communication with internal and external stakeholders, offering broad knowledge and diverse experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations for projects funded by government ministries, agencies, and financial institutions.
• Oversee accounting for supported expenses, including bookkeeping, management, verification, organization, and storage of supporting documents.
• Monitor fund usage.
• Manage budget vs. actual expenses.
• Manage assets acquired through grants.
• Respond to audits by the Board of Audit, relevant ministries and agencies, and external audit firms.

Requirements

• Practical experience (2+ years) in accounting procedures for public funds (government subsidies, commissions from public institutions, etc.).
• Communication skills for negotiation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Native Level of Japanese Language.
• TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent English proficiency/skills.
