About the Role
You want to support young people in engaging in environmental and climate protection? You enjoy organization, communication, and working with volunteers? Then become part of our team and support nationwide participation and event formats of BUNDjugend.
Responsibilities
- Support and accompany volunteers: Support nationally active volunteers in their diverse activities, working closely with management and dedicated volunteers.
- Event organization: Support the planning, execution, and follow-up of nationwide events, specifically the 'Aktiventreffen' near Bonn (September 11-13) and 'YouthHub' in Berlin (November 6-9).
- Communication & participant management: Coordinate communication with participants, support organization teams, and ensure compliance with funding and organizational requirements.
- Content & public relations: Create posts for social media and other communication channels to increase the visibility of our activities.
- Member acquisition & engagement promotion: Develop creative formats with the team for acquiring and retaining members and support their implementation online and on-site.
Requirements
- Experience with volunteers & youth education: Ideally, you have experience in youth education, volunteer structures, or working with young people.
- Organizational skills: You have experience in planning and organizing events and work in a structured and reliable manner.
- Communication & teamwork skills: You enjoy communicating with diverse people, work cooperatively, and enjoy teamwork.
- Diversity & discrimination sensitivity: You engage with topics such as gender, intersectionality, classism, ableism, and anti-racism, and consider these perspectives in your work.
- Flexibility & commitment: You are willing to occasionally work evenings or weekends and participate in on-site events.
- A valid extended police clearance certificate is required for employment.
