About the Role
Lead energy management programs across a dynamic real estate portfolio, driving continuous improvement and building a culture of accountability and innovation. Identify and advance renewable energy opportunities, pursue utility rebates and government incentive programs, and monitor energy consumption. Serve as a trusted advisor on energy supply, demand, and performance reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and developing business cases for energy reduction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead energy management programs across a dynamic real estate portfolio.
- Drive continuous improvement and build a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Identify and advance renewable energy opportunities from data analysis through client approval.
- Proactively pursue utility rebates and government incentive programs.
- Monitor and manage factors affecting energy consumption.
- Coordinate solutions across teams and optimize Building Management Systems.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on energy supply, demand, and performance reporting.
- Maintain strong and reliable client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Consolidate data and manage timely, accurate submissions on behalf of clients.
- Develop and present business cases for energy reduction initiatives.
- Maintain energy action plans in Envizi, tracking costs, savings, and verified outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional JLL teams to deliver integrated sustainability solutions.
- Build and sustain meaningful relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Champion success stories across the energy and sustainability program.
- Contribute to the broader JLL Energy and Sustainability Services team.
- Ensure all operations comply with applicable environmental legislation and company standards.
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 audits and regulatory assessments.
- Act as the primary liaison between corporate sustainability teams and on-the-ground facilities management.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English is essential.
- Familiarity with energy management, environmental and/or sustainability reporting frameworks is a plus.
- A genuine interest in renewable energy and efficiency outcomes within commercial real estate.
- Possess administration and communication skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Proactive with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Possess some exposure to building services maintenance & facilities management.
- Ability to deal with a variety of issues concurrently, within tight operational deadlines.
- Knowledge or exposure to building/facilities management would be advantageous although not essential.
- Highly organised.
- Efficient keyboard and data entry skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet research skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and grasp new concepts.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English for effective collaboration.
- Experience in facilities, property management, hospitality or related field preferable.
