About the Role
Join a leading fresh ready meals manufacturer and help keep Australia fed. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Group Planning & Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient dispatch and delivery of our products to customers, stores, and distribution centres. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch and transport activities to ensure timely product deliveries.
- Book freight collections and monitor deliveries to customers and distribution centres.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics and freight providers.
- Monitor and report on freight provider performance against agreed KPIs.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues, delays, and customer enquiries.
- Analyse logistics data and identify opportunities to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Monitor delivery performance and provide real-time communication during significant delays.
- Ensure proof of delivery documentation is received and maintained.
- Support the implementation of new processes and systems to improve logistics operations.
- Assist with stock movement reconciliations and inventory discrepancy investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across transportation and logistics functions.
- Support a strong culture of workplace safety, food safety, and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers and transport operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Advanced computer literacy and confidence using ERP and logistics systems.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions.
- Knowledge of GMP, food manufacturing or cold chain logistics will be highly regarded.
