About the Role

The Financial Analyst provides targeted financial advice to help teams navigate daily operational challenges. They conduct intermediate financial analysis, assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, assist in financial governance functions, prepare financial reports, and contribute to the design of dashboards, promoting a streamlined financial process.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial advice, assisting in day-to-day operational challenges and enquires from internal teams.
• Perform intermediate financial analysis and modelling, contributing to decision-making and operational strategies.
• Contribute actively to the refinement of budgets and forecasts, working closely with senior finance staff.
• Contribute to the creation of performance dashboards, ensuring the accurate representation of financial and operational metrics.
• Collaborate in refining financial procedures, actively participating in minor system updates and modifications.
• Facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to university systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the employment.
• Successful completion of all pre-employment or background checks.
• Declaration regarding investigation for, or engagement in, sexual harm or gender-based violence.
• Satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
