About the Role

Augustus is building the US team from the ground up for America's first stablecoin-native clearing bank. This role is the first IT hire, responsible for owning and building the company's entire IT infrastructure from scratch, including identity, access, devices, and office infrastructure. The goal is to create a seamless internal experience for employees, mirroring the platform's customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run the internal tech stack for the entire company.
  • Manage identity, access, devices, and office infrastructure from inception.
  • Implement and manage IAM, MDM, and EDR solutions.
  • Oversee hardware lifecycle and office connectivity.
  • Establish access controls and manage employee onboarding processes.
  • Ensure every employee has the necessary tools for fast and secure remote work.
  • Collaborate with all teams to understand work processes and build supporting systems.
  • Treat IT as a product with employees as users.
  • Build the most tech-forward IT setup supporting both agents and humans.
  • Evaluate and consolidate the existing toolstack, eliminating ineffective tools.
  • Draft policies and procedures to support organizational growth.
  • Implement SOC 2 operational controls and collect evidence for audit readiness.
  • Ensure vendor management runs smoothly.
  • Document the IT stack for the bank's launch.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in IT Operations.
  • Deep experience with Google Workspace administration.
  • Experience with modern IAM/MDM tools (e.g., Hexnode, ConductorOne, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of modern networking (Wi-Fi 6, Zero Trust).
  • Ability to run autonomously and complete tasks independently.
  • Proactive communication with the entire company to gather context.
  • High curiosity about all business aspects to understand use cases.
  • Ability to design and build systems from scratch.
  • Ability to learn new things quickly.
  • Comfortable working under banking-grade regulatory scrutiny.
