About the Role

Seeking a House Manager & Nanny to provide comprehensive support to a vibrant, high-energy family of four in Brooklyn. Responsibilities

  • Provide nanny-level care after school pick-ups.
  • Conduct daily school pickups.
  • Facilitate after-school routines including park visits, playdates, and snack times.
  • Travel with the family a few times per year to assist with childcare and light household support.
  • Prepare backpacks, clothing, and snacks for school.
  • Handle kid-related errands as needed.
  • Perform occasional morning drop-offs.
  • Provide occasional overnight coverage for date nights.
  • Perform Monday morning house resets, preparing the home for the weekly cleaning team.
  • Create and maintain household organization systems.
  • Manage seasonal swaps of clothing, decor, and bedding.
  • Assist with holiday, event, and guest preparation.
  • Handle packing and unpacking for travel.
  • Perform indoor plant care.
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs.
  • Fully restock household supplies including pantry, fridge, and household essentials.
  • Manage running household supply lists.
  • Collaborate on household orders and subscriptions.
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning, and occasional gift shopping.
  • Manage mail/package handling and box breakdown.
  • Oversee compost management.
  • Prepare healthy meals for the family 2-3 times per week.
  • Prepare healthy snacks for the family.
  • Assist with school lunch preparation.
  • Collaborate on grocery shopping and prepare grocery lists.
  • Adhere to dietary needs and restrictions (gluten-free, shellfish allergy).
  • Maintain kitchen clean-up and maintenance.
  • Handle full family laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing.
  • Perform ironing and steaming as needed.
  • Manage weekly sheet changes and regular linen/towel rotation.
  • Provide special garment care as needed.
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked.
  • Oversee the weekly cleaning team, contractors, landscapers, and gardeners.
  • Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes.
  • Perform occasional deep cleaning tasks.
  • Refresh drop zones (garage, mudroom, entryway).
  • Clean humidifiers and air purifiers.
  • Undertake organizational projects for toys, seasonal gear, and decorations.
  • Maintain calendar awareness and coordinate household scheduling.
  • Coordinate events and appointments.
  • Communicate clearly and adapt to a dynamic household environment.
