About the Role

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the technical expert for our most strategic enterprise customers. This role is a critical blend of technical consulting and hands-on software development, embedded with customers to design and build custom solutions on the Neara platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom solutions using the Neara SDK and platform APIs, including building features with Typescript/Javascript and a declarative scripting language.
  • Automate project changes, integrate real-time third-party data, and manipulate the network model.
  • Develop custom visualizations, calculations, and advanced data analysis features.
  • Build integrations using platform APIs to synchronize project data with external enterprise systems.
  • Serve as a deep technical advisor to customers, translating business needs into technical designs.
  • Lead training and workshops on the Neara SDK, API, and custom solution development best practices.
  • Collaborate with adjacent teams to identify customer needs and opportunities for custom development.
  • Lead configuration, reporting, and data integration efforts to align the Neara platform with customer environments.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Software Engineer or Forward-Deployed Engineer building enterprise-level custom technical solutions.
  • Experience working directly with customers or in a consulting capacity.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with modern development tools including Git, Node, npm, and the terminal/command line.
  • Ability to understand and utilize proprietary SDKs and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI Specification) to build integrated solutions.
  • Skilled in data analysis, integration, and building tailored tools.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineers and executives.
