About the Role
Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking customer-oriented and motivated individuals to join our professional team to maintain our diverse fleet of construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including earth-moving, compact, and aerial equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and execute required repairs.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.
- Mentor apprentices and new hires by providing guidance, training, and support.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
- Contribute to a professional and safe work environment by maintaining the shop and yard.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Currently residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.
- Mechanical experience working on a variety of construction equipment.
- Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (maximum 3 demerit points).
- Must possess own tools.
- Available and willing to work overtime as required.
- Physical stamina to stand and bend for long periods.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
