About the Role
AKQA is seeking a Freelance Designer with a strong UI emphasis to support a prominent financial brand. This role involves contributing to digital product experiences reaching millions, within a collaborative and fast-paced remote team. The engagement is from June 15 to September 3, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Implement a combination of strategic, conceptual, and design skills across a variety of deliverable types
- Create and manage original, visually compelling work that is both on-brand and purposeful
- Establish and maintain visual design systems
- Create and deploy tokenized components for scalable design
- Utilize AI tools to inform and streamline the design process, from research to prototyping
- Collaborate effectively with clients and various teams within AKQA, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience, with an agency setting preferred
- Strong UI sensibility and visual design craft for digital product work
- Complementary UX capabilities that inform and elevate output
- Compelling portfolio of work with clear evidence of strong UI craft across digital products and services
- Drive to break boundaries and craft the best ideas of their kind
- Fearlessly and boundlessly creative, relentlessly attentive to detail
- Excellent knowledge of Figma, including setting up and utilizing Figma libraries
- Strong proficiency with leading industry-standard UX design and prototyping tools
