About the Role

The Product Manager acts as a catalyst for organizational transformation, championing the needs of students, teachers, and the public, and driving the ambition of taking Ontario's creators' work to the world.

Responsibilities

  • Steer a cross-functional team in building digital experiences for educators, students, and content creators, focusing on content management systems for audience-facing websites and mobile experiences.
  • Define the product roadmap based on the needs of students, teachers, and content creators.
  • Collaborate with Design, Development, and Product Delivery counterparts to create inspiring products.
  • Work with key stakeholders to influence, gain buy-in, and provide counsel for dynamic prioritization decisions.
  • Connect with other product teams and departments to ensure transparency and keep stakeholders updated on product improvements and plans.
  • Act as the key product evangelist, sharing how the product solves real-world problems and conveying its future vision.
  • Perform research in partnership with the UX Design team and analyze behavioral data to drive strategy and roadmaps.
  • Support the development of go-to-market strategies and collaborate with communication and marketing partners on launch plans.

Requirements

  • Track record of driving initiatives to successful outcomes without compromising accessibility and users’ needs.
  • Expert knowledge of SaaS products with a broad range of experiences relying on best-in-class UX for creators and delivering outstanding audience-facing experiences.
  • Deep understanding of the mobile ecosystem including mobile platforms, app development, mobile analytics, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with APIs and mobile development frameworks.
  • Experience in agile product management methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Results-driven with a track record of successfully launching mobile products that drive user engagement and retention.
  • Strategic thinker capable of aligning product initiatives with overall company strategy.
  • Deep-rooted interest in building user-friendly and technologically solid user-centric experiences for web and mobile.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalent experience.
