About the Role

As a Delivery Manager in our Energy Transition & Environment team at Faculty, you will act as a pivotal commercial and delivery lead, driving high-stakes AI transformation for the UK’s most critical government partners. You will be a key point of contact for both our external clients and internal technical teams, building deep networks of influence and solving complex challenges by bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI research and operational mission needs. With an entrepreneurial spirit, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure every project delivers meaningful, long-term value in a fast-evolving landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of AI projects for prominent clients across the energy and utilities value chain, from initial scoping and daily driving to final implementation
  • Collaborating with technical, innovation, and other key client teams
  • Managing projects, driving development and ensuring a delivery approach that provides maximum value to the customer
  • Forming strong, trusting relationships with customers, internal team members (e.g. data scientists, ML engineers), and technical partners to translate user research into solution requirements and operational impact
  • Developing and executing compelling proposals to grow our footprint and impact across the Energy Transition sector
  • Advising clients on AI strategy and technical implementation, acting as a trusted partner in high-stakes environments (with support from a technical team)
  • Mentoring peers and taking a proactive role in building robust processes and practices within the team

Requirements

  • Experience in consultancy or service-based delivery, allowing you to manage complex project lifecycles and meet critical deadlines under pressure
  • Broad understanding of the energy value chain, ideally with demonstrable experience working for relevant players (e.g., utilities, suppliers, traders, policymakers/regulators)
  • Taking full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, from initial scoping to end-user adoption within regulated businesses
  • Exceptional communication skills, with outstanding ability in managing senior stakeholders and translating complex concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and a proven track record of delivering technical projects, ideally in AI
  • Practical problem-solver, identifying potential risks to important missions and proactively implementing solutions
  • Thriving in ambiguous settings and demonstrating a structured approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality, high-stakes projects
