About the Role
The PM Technician will perform on-site detailed inspections, equipment repairs and train customers on basic equipment maintenance and recommendations. The role involves realigning, adjusting, and replacing parts in machines, and providing suggestions for the preventative maintenance schedule.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to access mechanical assemblies.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
- Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanisms or hydraulic systems.
- Realign and adjust components such as spindles, clutches, and ball screws.
- Start machines and equipment to test operation after inspection.
- Provide written reports of inspection findings and recommendations for repair.
- Advise customers on necessary and recommended service work.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes or modifications.
- Complete work orders, expense reports, and daily/weekly time logs.
- Keep Service Managers informed of all significant problems, progress, or difficulties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience as a PM Technician preferred.
- Attention to detail.
- Must have good working knowledge of tools and their uses.
