About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a Junior Engineering Designer to join our growing Roads and Highway team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to launch an engineering career and contribute to large-scale transportation and municipal infrastructure projects, assisting in preparing design drawings and reports using industry-standard CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of preliminary and detailed design drawings, technical reports, and memos under the supervision of senior team members.
• Support the design process for various civil works, including roadways, grading, drainage, site development, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Develop preliminary and detailed designs using CAD software (e.g., Bentley, Autodesk, MicroStation, or AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in engineering design (transportation or utilities is an asset).
• Proficiency with CAD tools (MicroStation, Inroads/Open Roads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate and learn.
• Familiarity with municipal and road authority standards is an asset.
• Desire to grow professionally and contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects.
