About the Role
IMCO is seeking a highly motivated Associate Portfolio Manager to join the Global Credit investments team, focusing on direct private debt/credit investments. This role involves overseeing, underwriting, structuring, and monitoring non-investment grade private debt transactions, contributing to organizational transformation and career growth within a collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in the due diligence process.
- Prepare investment reports/memos and presentation materials.
- Build and analyze complex financial models.
- Conduct research and analysis to support investment decision-making.
- Interact with internal stakeholders (risk, tax, legal, finance) to support deals and ongoing portfolio management.
- Develop and generate periodic/ad-hoc analyses using multiple sources of information.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects to expand the Global Credit strategy and platform.
- Support asset monitoring throughout the investment lifecycle.
Requirements
- University degree in Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (transactions-related) in private debt/credit, leverage loans, infrastructure debt, high-yield debt, transaction advisory, and/or investment/corporate banking.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modelling, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and cultivate key partnerships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative.
- Background screening will be required.
