About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Operator to perform precision assembly and finishing operations for aerospace components. You will be responsible for component preparation, testing, surface treatment, and light machining while maintaining strict quality and safety standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and finishing operations according to travelers and operation sheets
  • Execute plastic bead and aluminum oxide blasting
  • Conduct parts cleaning and surface preparation
  • Perform threaded insert replacement
  • Apply epoxy and paint
  • Execute hand drilling using jigs
  • Perform deburring and component finishing
  • Conduct conventional milling operations as required
  • Perform pressure and oil flow testing
  • Interpret shop travelers and ensure correct operational sequences
  • Complete all documentation accurately with required signatures and dates
  • Maintain responsibility for work quality and accuracy
  • Handle components carefully to prevent damage
  • Perform basic preventive equipment maintenance
  • Use and manage calibrated measuring instruments
  • Monitor and report equipment or process issues to supervisors
  • Adhere to production schedules and workflow priorities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
  • Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or shop environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds
  • Ability to perform frequent bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and small components
  • Visual ability for close inspection, depth, and color perception
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Successful completion of alcohol and drug screening
