About the Role
As an engineering Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to work on an engineering team where curiosity, learning, and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting real-world projects that improve equipment reliability, workplace safety, and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams, mentorship from experienced engineers, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing project proposals for small to medium investments, gaining exposure to budgeting, planning, and presenting engineering solutions.
- Support senior engineers during the design phase, helping to research, select, and detail technical solutions for process and equipment improvements.
- Participate in safety and reliability initiatives, including root cause investigations, data collection on breakdowns, and implementing safety features like interlocks and guarding.
- Analyze operational data using tools like Excel or Power BI to identify trends, support preventative maintenance planning, and contribute to energy efficiency opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, building communication and teamwork skills while contributing to engineering reports and project documentation.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment.
- Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
- Must be eligible to work onsite on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week) and provide their own funding for relocation and commuting.
