About the Role
Amgen is seeking a National Sales Manager to lead the commercial execution of its biosimilar portfolio across the UK. This role is crucial for driving revenue, market share, and patient access by effectively executing brand strategy and leveraging insights into the NHS and regional healthcare systems. You will be a key member of the cross-functional brand team, inspiring a high-performing team to achieve exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Regional Account Managers to deliver revenue, market share, and customer engagement objectives.
- Translate brand strategy into effective account and customer plans, informed by market, customer, and NHS insights.
- Drive key account segmentation, prioritization, and execution to maximize short- and long-term business performance.
- Ensure disciplined execution of territory plans, key account strategies, brand campaigns, and customer engagement activities.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members via a high performing culture of talent development, succession planning, and field-based leadership.
- Contribute to sales incentive design, goal setting, and performance evaluation processes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement through strong matrix leadership and emotional intelligence.
Requirements
- Extensive pharmaceutical/biotechnology commercial experience, with biosimilars experience preferred.
- Proven people leadership/stakeholder influence and performance coaching capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of the UK healthcare landscape, reimbursement environment, and ABPI compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, implement innovation, and adapt to evolving customer insights.
- Strong commercial, business planning, and budget management skills, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights and decision-making.
- High emotional intelligence, growth mindset, and enterprise leadership orientation, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Degree educated.
