About the Role
The Product & Commercial Specialist supports the development, coordination, and performance of specialized travel products and destination services. This role partners closely with both the Product and Commercial teams to deliver competitive car land offerings, ensure operational accuracy, and drive commercial performance through market insights and supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Identify market trends and customer needs specific to land products (hotels, transfers, car rentals, tours, and destination services)
- Assist in the development, packaging, and maintenance of competitive Land & Cars offerings aligned with market demand
- Coordinate and manage reservations for accommodations, transfers, car rentals, and other ground services, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up
- Maintain strong relationships with ground suppliers (hotels, DMCs, car rental companies, transfer providers) and support account follow-ups
- Monitor destination conditions and proactively manage operational impacts of disruptions affecting land services (e.g., weather events, strikes, local issues)
- Track sales performance of Land & Cars products and recommend actions to improve competitiveness, margins, and profitability
- Ensure accurate product setup, pricing, and content in booking systems and support tools
- Provide product training and updates to reservations and sales teams on Land & Cars offerings
- Support documentation and marketing teams with accurate and up-to-date product information
- Deliver high-quality service to internal stakeholders, travel agents, and suppliers
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and technology related to car and land product management
- Provide information to marketing for branded flyers, email blasts, web initiative, etc.
- Participate in executing Media Planned activities with suppliers and Tourism Partners
- Obtain and provide product information for call-backs and bumping’s
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably with land products, hotel contracting, or ground services
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and coordinate multiple service components
- Results-driven with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commercial mindset
- Bilingual (English and French), both written and spoken
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and reservation systems (e.g., Sabre or similar)
- Knowledge of key destinations and ground product trends is an asset
- Flexibility to travel occasionally, if required
- Availability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed
