About the Role
As a Social Media Manager, your objective is to strategically execute industry-leading social content. This includes managing organic content plans, copywriting, community management, reactive content management, and executing influencer strategies.
Responsibilities
- Create standout lo-fi, social-first content by conceptualizing, planning, shooting, appearing in, and editing directly on your phone, and using tools like Canva.
- Step in front of the camera when needed to bring ideas to life authentically.
- Stay plugged into culture and community by spotting trends, scaling insights from audiences, and adapting trending formats authentically for each client.
- Craft clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for posts, captions, and community management.
- Connect brands with their communities through meaningful, always-on community management and engagement, and smart participation in cultural moments.
- Analyze content and channel performance, uncover creative insights, and use them to guide recommendations and reporting.
- Own the delivery of monthly and quarterly reports that clearly demonstrate impact and inform future strategy.
- Build trusted, collaborative relationships with clients, positioning yourself as their go-to social expert.
- Oversee day-to-day social channel management, including scheduling content, updating bios and links, maintaining content calendars, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive monthly and quarterly content calendars, mapping posts, publishing dates, formats, and channels.
- Stay up-to-date with social platform updates, emerging formats, and best practices to inform creative and strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Have a sophisticated understanding of social media platforms and be able to advise on content sharing strategy.
- Live and breathe content, driven by a desire to create and occasionally feature in great client work.
- Be a creative thinker and writer, able to work independently and collaboratively on content ideation.
- Be fascinated by brands, how they market themselves, and use social media.
- Be naturally curious about the developments of the digital world and excited by its potential.
- Take real pride in your work and always strive for perfection.
- Have real drive and ambition, with a mindset of growth.
- Have one or more years of experience working with social media (agency-side preferable).
