About the Role

We are recruiting two Duty Manager Leisure & Aquatic Operations positions to support safe, welcoming and high-quality operations across Council’s Leisure and Aquatic Centres. In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to aquatic staff, oversee safe pool operations, respond to incidents, support customer service and help ensure our centres are safe, clean and well-presented for the community.

Responsibilities

Lead and support aquatic staff during day-to-day centre operations.
Supervise aquatic areas and ensure lifeguards follow safety procedures.
Respond confidently to incidents, rescues and first aid situations.
Monitor pool plant, equipment and water quality requirements.
Support a safe, clean and welcoming experience for customers and facility users.
Maintain records and assist with continuous improvement of aquatic services.

Requirements

TAFE NSW Pool Operations, RLSSA Technical Operations or equivalent.
Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
Senior First Aid Certificate.
Current Working with Children Check.
Experience in the operation of leisure and aquatic centres.
Knowledge of pool plant, equipment, water quality and chemical handling requirements.
Experience leading or working within a team environment.
Ability to work across a 7-day roster.
Ability to swim 200m continuously within 6 minutes.
Evidence of full unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Successful applicants may be required to undertake a medical assessment, Working with Children Check, reference checks, qualification verification and other checks relevant to the position.
Applicants must hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or possess a valid work permit/visa with full unrestricted working rights to be eligible.

$77,261 + 12% super
