About the Role
Giant Tiger is seeking friendly, motivated individuals to join their team as a Softgoods Associate. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth checkout operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring a high level of customer service
- Accurately recording customer transactions
- Replenishing merchandise around the checkout area
- Following up on hot selling items and completing markdowns and SKU changes
- Maintaining planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards
- Performing cycle counts
- Ensuring compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery
- Ensuring health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
- Keeping the checkout work area clean and organized
- Ensuring loss prevention best practices are followed
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand and/or walk
- Ability to bend, twist, and squat
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.)
- Ability to perform tasks involving firm grasping
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions
- Ability to reach above shoulder height and below waist level
- Ability to operate equipment, including using a ladder
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment

- $17.60 Hourly Rate
- Bonus - Store Bonus Plan, 3% Annual
