About the Role

The Data Analyst will be based in the Country Office in Juba to analyze beneficiary and transfer data, providing KPIs and real-time analysis to improve operational efficiency and support decision-making for humanitarian assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead data assurance for cash-based transfers and in-kind assistance, including reconciliation, de-duplication, and fraud detection.
• Assist stakeholders in validating business needs and establishing development priorities for digital systems like SCOPE.
• Design standard operating procedures for operational analysis, re-engineering, and change management.
• Develop and maintain identity management dashboards to assess data quality.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends in targeting, registration, and distribution data.
• Prepare agreements and track SCOPE service progress for UN and other partners.
• Support the implementation of the enhanced in-kind module by developing reconciliation dashboards and integrating data sources.
• Identify data collection challenges and establish mechanisms to improve data quality and cost efficiency.
• Review data processes against privacy and protection principles.
• Collaborate with regional bureaus and headquarters to ensure software solutions meet country office needs.
• Lead data literacy and awareness efforts for country and field office staff.
• Build national capacity in data analysis to ensure sustainability.
• Oversee and review the work of support staff.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• First university degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training.
• Minimum of five years of relevant international professional experience for master's degree holders.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant international professional experience for bachelor's degree holders.
• Experience analyzing, validating, and improving digital systems for beneficiary and transfer management.
• Experience supporting and implementing cash-based transfer programs in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Experience coordinating with multiple teams and supporting partner data needs.
• Experience ensuring data protection compliance.
• Fluency in English.
