About the Role
As a Senior Java Backend Developer in the Router Team, you will optimize a high-performance logistics backend to provide seamless access to the Scoober delivery fleet. Working in a Scrum team, you will solve complex routing challenges to power efficient delivery operations across all JET countries.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend systems and routing algorithms for international markets.
- Optimize the core platform to solve real-time logistical challenges including fleet simulations, routing, and dispatching.
- Improve development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and microservice architectures.
- Collaborate through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Drive architectural practices using Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, and reactive, event-driven APIs.
Requirements
- Deep backend expertise in Java and Spring frameworks.
- Experience designing highly scalable microservices.
- Familiarity with distributed messaging systems like Kafka.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Commitment to Clean Code principles.
- Experience with continuous deployment via Kubernetes.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with interest in complex algorithms and real-time optimization.
- Collaborative mindset with interest in Reactive Programming and Hexagonal Architecture.
