About the Role

Clio is seeking its first Technical Consultant for Clio Operate in APAC, based in Sydney. This foundational role will shape the implementation, configuration, and delivery of Clio's platform to enterprise customers in the region. Clio Operate is an adaptive work management platform designed for large law firms to build tailored solutions for managing work processes via the cloud, enabling them to manage more cases, improve profitability, and enhance client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support 2nd and 3rd line technical escalations, collaborating with Clio engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Investigate and resolve complex full-stack technical issues, from UI to database queries.
  • Build customer relationships and assist them in succeeding with Clio Operate.
  • Develop custom UI elements and workflows using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Create server-side plugins in C# for API exposure, system integration, or custom business logic.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and video tutorials to expand the customer knowledge base.
  • Partner with the product team to integrate client-specific innovations into the core platform.
  • Assist non-technical team members in understanding the Operate platform.
  • Utilize and contribute to AI tooling to enhance team efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong skills in C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL Server.
  • Solid understanding of OOP principles and clean coding practices.
  • Comfort working directly with customers to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and provide support.
  • Experience delivering and supporting software in production environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure, DevOps, or similar cloud-based delivery models.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as implementation consulting or solution support.
  • Strong SQL tuning skills, including understanding execution plans, logical reads, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or performance-critical applications.
  • Open-source contributions, side projects, or a GitHub profile showcasing work.
