About the Role
Drive business growth by managing the full sales lifecycle for complex power stability and electrification solutions across ANZ. Serve as the primary commercial lead for a diverse portfolio including STATCOMs, Synchronous Condensers, and MV Drives, targeting key sectors like Grid Utilities, Renewables, Data Centers, and Rail. Translate customer technical requirements into winning value propositions, negotiate high-value contracts, and lead cross-functional teams to secure long-term infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Sell products and solutions to meet customer requirements within ANZ, including STATCOMs, Synchronous Condensers, MV Drives, and SFCs.
- Target market sectors such as Grid Utilities, Rail, Renewables, Data Centres, Oil & Gas, and Mining.
- Develop commercial expertise across ANZ, product lines, markets, and sales processes.
- Influence customer outcomes and ensure client satisfaction across a large and diverse sales territory.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making.
- Lead others to find creative solutions for complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers.
- Evaluate the quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis.
- Use multiple internal and external resources to aid in decision-making.
- Influence functional teams and projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
- Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally to adopt different points of view.
- Influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in sales, commercial, or business development roles within Energy, Renewables, Rail, Datacentres, Electrical Utilities or adjacent infrastructure sectors.
- Strong exposure to the Australian and New Zealand energy sector, including transmission, renewables or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex, long‑cycle sales opportunities independently.
- Experience with power electronics or rotating electrical equipment is an advantage, but not essential.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging at senior customer levels.
- Clear, structured communication and presentation skills.
- A collaborative working style and the ability to influence outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel across ANZ as required (up to ~25%).
- Knowledge of ANZ energy/power, grid utilities and/or rail markets.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
