About the Role
The Systems Site Manager is responsible for a Systems project, overseeing all phases of implementation from initial layout to system startup and customer training. This role supports the company's mission to help customers compete by providing optimal material handling system solutions and technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist with overall project execution in collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Engineers.
- Conduct full scope of project services including site layout, subcontractor and customer management, inventory management, jobsite safety, site communication, device troubleshooting, system checkout and startup, validation of system throughput and efficiencies, and customer training.
- Deliver successful projects meeting customer satisfaction, schedule, time, and budget.
- Communicate effectively with other Toyota Automated Logistics team members, keeping management advised of schedule.
- Attend training and become certified in applicable technologies or programs.
- Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers, and competition.
- Create complete CAD packages for installation and as-built documentation with Project Engineering.
- Ensure overall commission progresses as planned with Software and Controls teams.
- Develop processes to support team growth.
- Solve problems for the team and customers.
- Attend weekly and other scheduled meetings on time.
- Recruit and critique key suppliers of technology/software.
- Maintain a consistently positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Promote Toyota Automated Logistics in all appropriate forums.
- Help customers succeed in their specific markets.
- Deliver projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Deliver projects under budgeted time and hours.
- Meet project schedule.
- Develop repeat customers.
- Contribute to project teams, providing help outside of commissioning scope when required.
- Be a great team member and contributor within the office.
- Establish beneficial relationships with key supplier products and services.
- Develop new standards, techniques, or equipment to maintain industry leadership.
- Perform any and all job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree AND 5+ years experience OR 10+ years industry experience.
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical capabilities.
- Extremely computer literate with MS Office products.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA long-term without sponsorship.
- Must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents.
Skills
