About the Role
This role involves working independently across London to perform reactive and planned maintenance in occupied homes and tenanted properties, focusing on plumbing and heating systems. The company emphasizes proper diagnosis, clean workmanship, and long-term client relationships over high-volume installations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing leaking taps, mixers, and cartridges
- Fault-finding for showers, including thermostatic issues, low pressure, and temperature problems
- Repairing toilets, including flush valves, inlet valves, syphons, and ball valves
- Investigating visible and concealed leaks
- Performing pipework alterations and remedial upgrades
- Addressing hot and cold water pressure and flow issues
- Clearing waste pipe blockages in basins, showers, baths, and kitchens
- Boiler diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
- Performing domestic gas appliance work
- Working with zone valves, pumps, expansion vessels, and heating controls
- Servicing unvented and vented cylinders
- Diagnosing underfloor heating systems
- Resolving system pressure and water quality issues
- Performing light installation work as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in reactive domestic plumbing and heating maintenance
- Strong diagnostic experience in occupied residential properties
- Verifiable references
- Strong logical diagnostic ability
- Clean and tidy workmanship in occupied homes
- Calm, confident communication with customers and managing agents
- Clear, accurate job reporting after each visit
- Safe working practices and good understanding of health & safety
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- A long-term mindset with an interest in growing with the business
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing / Heating
- ACS domestic gas qualifications
- Willing to undergo DBS check
- Full UK driving licence
