About the Role
As an Associates Clinical Specialist, you will support the Pelvic Health group in surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory. This field-based role requires you to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts, with potential for travel outside the territory.
Responsibilities
- Represents Medtronic Pelvic Health during surgeries and implants by providing necessary equipment and products.
- Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up support, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintains current knowledge about assigned products, services, and competitive products.
- Proactively identifies needs and educates caregivers and account employees on technical matters related to products and therapies.
- Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff through one-on-one sessions, in-service programs, seminars, and symposiums.
- Assists district manager and in-house training department in educating new employees.
- Provides sales support during or following cases, including completing necessary documentation and executing invoices.
- Places orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
- Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
- Contributes to the completion of milestones for regional and/or national projects.
- Understands all applicable quality policy/system items and follows work/quality procedures for compliance.
- Performs other related activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
- Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of the application.
- Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory.
- May require overnight travel.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
- Going into a healthcare setting is considered an essential function of the job.
- Must comply with all credentialing requirements at hospitals or clinics supported.
- Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level).
Skills
- Clinical skill and knowledge (e.g., ability to conduct a simple trial, implant and/or refill a pump).
- Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience.
- Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use.
- Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company.
- Clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, or home health care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals.
- Ability to coach others on product use and clinical applications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
