About the Role
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining the Hospital environment in a clean and safe manner consistent with established standards. This is a float position requiring work in multiple areas during evening and/or night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.
- Utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Reports to the Manager of Environmental Services.
Requirements
- Ability to read, understand written documents and write.
- Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision after training.
- Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
- Strong inter-personal skills are necessary.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- All new hires are required to attend a mandatory three-day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH.
