About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver category management activities to drive functional excellence.

  • Conduct robust due diligence and market analysis.
  • Drive process, performance, and commercial value creation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Coordinate team activities and provide ongoing support, coaching, and development.
  • Support net-zero ambitions through proactive carbon reduction practices.
  • Champion a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment.
  • Lead on cost management services including estimating, procurement, and cost planning.
  • Own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes, and build long-term client relationships.
  • Lead operations that are fiscally and ethically viable.
  • Influence the achievement of business objectives that align with business and legislative compliance obligations.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop teams, demonstrating effective leadership.
  • Ensure excellence in delivery against plans.
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering major rail or high-speed programmes, ideally within the design or early set up stages.
  • Strong commercial acumen with confident negotiation skills.
  • Solid construction and market understanding.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
  • Degree-educated.
  • CIPS or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
