About the Role
Atlassian is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager for the Nordics, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg regions to lead a team focused on winning complex enterprise deals and helping organizations reimagine how work gets done with Atlassian's System of Work.
Responsibilities
- Hire, coach, and develop a diverse team of high-performing Solutions Engineers supporting Enterprise accounts across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
- Operate as a player-coach, staying close to deals while focusing on people development.
- Set high standards for both revenue influence and technical craft.
- Create clear growth paths for team members.
- Partner with sales leadership on account strategy to ensure SEs engage in the right deals.
- Ensure the team delivers effective technical discovery, solution design, demos, POVs, and executive presentations.
- Drive value-based selling, including business cases and ROI narratives.
- Personally engage in critical sales cycles when necessary.
- Own the team's operating rhythm, including forecasting, deal reviews, coverage models, and SE impact metrics.
- Utilize data to optimize team focus on pipeline influence, win rates, product mix, and cycle time.
- Continuously improve core SE processes and assets like discovery frameworks, demo patterns, and RFP responses.
- Collaborate with peer SE leaders globally to maintain consistent execution while adapting to market uniqueness.
- Partner with Sales leadership, Value Management, Product, Marketing, and Advisory teams.
- Act as the voice of the field by feeding customer insights back to Product.
- Represent the SE perspective in Go-To-Market planning and strategic initiatives.
- Embed AI fluency into the team's presales craft and coach SEs on responsible AI experimentation.
- Lead programs that scale beyond the team, such as playbooks and reusable assets.
- Share best practices to elevate the SE craft across the organization.
Requirements
- Significant experience in presales/solutions engineering or a closely related technical, customer-facing role.
- Proven people-management track record leading SE or technical consulting teams.
- Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder Enterprise deals.
- Experience working across multiple countries in the Nordics, BeNeLux, or broader EMEA region.
- Strong grasp of SaaS, cloud architectures, integrations, and security/compliance.
- Comfortable in forecast and pipeline conversations.
- Experience introducing team-level improvements that materially changed productivity or quality.
- Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to translate between business, technical, and value narratives.
- Thoughtful approach to working across diverse business cultures.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Additional regional language capability (Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, or French) is a strong plus.
