About the Role

As a Lifestyle Officer, you will play a key role in enriching the daily lives of residents at Aminya Centre. Working closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will help design and deliver meaningful individual and group activities that reflect each resident’s interests, goals and preferences. Your work will support residents to feel connected, valued and engaged. Activities may include creative programs, social engagement, movement‑based sessions, reminiscence activities and one‑to‑one support. This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, brings creativity to their work and thrives in a warm, community‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver meaningful individual and group activities that reflect each resident’s interests, goals and preferences.
  • Support residents to feel connected, valued and engaged.
  • Facilitate creative programs, social engagement, movement‑based sessions, reminiscence activities and one‑to‑one support.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current driver’s license
  • Successful candidates will be subject to background checks including a national criminal history check, reference checks and, where applicable, WWCC, NDIS worker screening and a pre‑employment medical.

Skills

  • Strong empathetic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn

Work Type

  • Permanent Part-Time
  • 60 hours per fortnight

Education Level

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health

Salary/Compensations

  • $37.42 per hour plus 12% super
