About the Role
As an Analyst in the Equity Capital Markets group, you will contribute to the firm's capital raising capabilities and support the execution of transactions. You will work with expert professionals to prepare marketing pitches, conduct financial analysis, and manage internal committee memoranda while helping build the firm's reputation.
Responsibilities
- Execute public capital raising transactions for Japanese issuer clients including IPOs, follow-on, and convert offerings
- Assist senior bankers in preparing for client engagement and deal origination such as pitches and RFPs
- Provide project management support to senior team members
- Liaise with internal teams including industry coverage, sales and trading, syndicate, equity research, and legal
- Prepare thought pieces related to equity capital markets and diversified industries
- Conduct analysis for issuer clients including precedent transactions and shareholder targeting
- Draft presentation materials and internal committee memorandums for transaction launches
Requirements
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills
- Well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution
- Understanding of the transaction cycle and execution-oriented mindset
- Impeccable communication skills for interacting with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and capable of working independently
