About the Role
Reporting to the COO, this role shapes the people strategy to support illumin’s next stage of growth. The Director, People and Culture acts as a trusted advisor to leaders, partnering on organizational design, talent management, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, performance, and change management. This role requires a strong understanding of how people strategies drive business performance and the ability to influence and support leaders at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness by advising on organizational design, workforce planning, talent decisions, performance challenges, and team effectiveness.
- Coach and develop leadership capability by providing guidance and support on performance management, employee development, communication, and team engagement.
- Shape and evolve the people strategy by assessing existing programs, identifying improvement opportunities, and designing/implementing initiatives for talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Lead through change and growth by helping leaders and employees navigate transformation initiatives and integrate people considerations into business decisions.
- Drive a positive employee experience by supporting engagement, development, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Partner across the business to align people strategies with business objectives, advising on key decisions with a balanced perspective.
- Lead and support the People & Operations team, providing coaching and direction to drive the people strategy and ensure exceptional employee and leadership experiences.
Requirements
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in a technology, SaaS, digital media, or high-growth environment.
- Experience aligning people strategies with business priorities.
- Experience advising leaders on organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance.
- Experience coaching managers and strengthening leadership effectiveness.
- Experience navigating complex people situations and helping teams perform at their best.
- Experience supporting organizations through growth, transformation, or periods of change.
- Experience helping leaders navigate ambiguity, drive adoption of new initiatives, and build structures and capabilities for evolving business needs.
- Experience leading and developing small teams, creating clarity, accountability, and engagement.
- Experience leading both People and Office Operations functions.
