About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Executive to drive revenue growth by selling enterprise software solutions to financial services organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling complex software solutions, building long-term client relationships, and exceeding sales targets in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the financial services sector.
- Identify and target key decision-makers (C-level executives, IT leaders, and business unit heads) in financial institutions.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Act as a trusted advisor, positioning our enterprise information management solutions as critical to their digital transformation and operational efficiency goals.
- Oversee product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops tailored to the financial services industry.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape in the financial services sector.
- Leverage deep knowledge of financial services workflows, pain points, and technology needs to position our solutions effectively.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and professional services, to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
- Mentor and guide junior sales team members, sharing best practices and industry insights.
- Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
- Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a smooth transition to the implementation team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, with a focus on financial services and successful track record within the three Japanese mega banks.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience selling SaaS, cloud-based solutions, or enterprise software platforms.
- Deep understanding of financial services industry processes, regulations, and technology trends.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics platforms.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience selling software solutions in areas such as: Risk management, Regulatory compliance, Wealth management, Payments processing, Core banking systems, Fraud detection and prevention.
- Existing network of contacts within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or data analytics solutions.
