About the Role

The IT Coordinator provides internal technical support for hardware, software, network, audio/visual, and security systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and technical assistance across various organizational locations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues via phone, email, ticketing system, or in-person.
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, network, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues including Windows 11 Pro, Microsoft 365, VPN, Wi-Fi, and VOIP.
  • Track, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests using a ticketing system.
  • Perform user account management including AD account creation, password resets, and MFA setup.
  • Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices with core applications and security patches.
  • Support cloud services and shared resources such as SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Perform on-site repairs of PC hardware and peripherals.
  • Manage security control systems and NVR across multiple locations.
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 2 support with proper documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes including device setup and user orientation.
  • Source hardware and peripherals from vendors at competitive prices.
  • Analyze business needs and recommend technical solutions.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of technology projects.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation and asset inventory records.
  • Follow ITIL-based processes and SLAs.
  • Educate users on IT best practices and security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and acceptable-use policies.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies.
  • Travel to various locations to support operations and users.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of work experience in IT technical support and helpdesk roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11 Pro, mobile operating systems, printers, and network devices.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
  • Experience using ticketing systems and incident management processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software on various devices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under minimal supervision.
  • Experience with administrative tasks, inventory management, and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg) for equipment transport.
  • Must be legally qualified to work in Canada.
  • Ability to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening check.
